March 17, 2025 at 7:30 pm - John Manion, "Underappreciated Yet Wonderful Native Plants for the Home Landscape"
1/24/2025 4:35 pm
He’s been away from Atlanta for more than a decade. You might remember him from his time as curator of the historic gardens at the Atlanta History Center. Or you might remember his engaging. informative talk on horticulture nomenclature at a GPPA meeting.
John left Atlanta in 2010 to become the curator of the Kaul Wildflower Garden at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, where he worked with passion for 11 years developing and refining a seven-acre plant collection. He is now the education and outreach coordinator at Overhill Gardens in Vonore, Tennessee (between Chattanooga and Knoxville).
We are happy to reconnect with John who will speak at our March 17th membership meeting to share what he’s learned in the past 15 years, including his thoughts on underappreciated, yet wonderful, native plants for the home landscape.
We hope you’ll put this on your calendar as a must-attend event for early 2025.
