I have pinky finger injuries on both hands. It has changed the tools I choose to keep close at all times and how I transport them. Removing two of my favorite tools from my ripstop nylon garden bag and placing them into a sheath has really helped lighten the load for me. In truth, without a specific chore in mind, this sheath is all I carry most of the time.
