Sara Henderson, "The Shady Side of Gardening" - March 18, 7:30 pm Dunwoody Nature Center & Live-Streamed

2/20/2024 2:21 pm

Sara Henderson, a past president of Georgia Perennial and recently retired Garden Director of Oakland Cemetery, will speak to us about "The Shady Side of Gardening." Shade plants are Sara's passion. She's committed to finding the right plant for the right place. For her, that right place is usually in the shade. She's also committed to gardening in a way that considers our limits on time and our decreasing flexibility, energy and strength as we age. We look forward to hearing her thoughts on how to do that.

We'll meet at the Dunwoody Nature Center on February 19, 2024 to hear from Georgia Perennial favorite, Mark Weathington, Director of the fabulous JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, NC. We'll leave his talk, "The Razor's Edge, New Woody Plants to Try" with a shopping list! We might even leave plotting a trip to visit to the JC Raulston Arboretum and Plant Delights/Juniper Level Botanic Garden. Ridiculous things can happen when plant people get together.
