Get that trowel out! The Annual Midtown Plant Swap is nearly here!
When: Sunday, May 4, 2025 1 - 4 pm or until the wine runs out
Where: In the Dumitrescu backyard at 771 Myrtle Street NE, Atlanta GA 30308.
What you need to know: Bring your extras and go home with someone else’s plants. There is little in life better than a new plant unless it’s a new plant and a glass of wine.
Sport an outfit that makes your neighbors avert their eyes, then dig up their extra plants and bring them too. Rain or shine. See you there. Send questions to Email Kathleen. Her answers frequently make authorities consider whether they should pull her driver’s license.
Georgia Perennial will set up a spot to encourage new memberships. If you come, talk us up to strangers. Because we need some more strange people . . . . .
PLANT SWAP INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIRST TIMERS:
- You have to start somewhere so you don't have to bring a plant to take one.
- All plants are welcome: house plants, garden plants, sun, shade, ground covers, pond plants. (Leave things that cause rashes on contact home, however)
- If you want to be really popular: bring ferns. To avoid unattractive disagreements among attendees; you can just give the ferns right to your host, member Kathleen Dumitrescu.
- Outfits that look like they weren't good enough to wear for a wanted poster are encouraged.
